5.    If you are an international student in need of a student account, you have to be between the ages of 18 to 27 years. You must be a full-time student studying either postgraduate, undergraduate or qualification of one year or more. You may be required to prove your enrollment at a qualified school together with the four above requirements.

Students account come with various benefits like a free transaction fee.

Apart from a student account, you may want to apply for a premier banking account, Absa One Current Account, Ultimate Account or Prestige Banking Account which allows exclusive access, extended banking hours, preferential pricing and monthly rewards.

To open any of the above accounts, you will still require the first four specified requirements.

Opening an ABSA bank account can be done online by filling an application form and presenting all the required details and documents.
