Kenya Reports 11 More Cases of COVID-19 Bringing the Total Number to 281

The ministry of health has reported 11 more people who have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Kenya to 281. Seven of the 11 cases were from Mombasa County (6), four from Ruaka (4), and one from Kajiado (1), all with no travel history.

The CS, Mutahi Kagwe in the daily press briefing at Kenyatta National Hospital also confirmed that two more people have fully recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, raising the number of those who have recovered to 69. There was good news as the number of deaths remain at 14.

Mutahi Kagwe also reported that a total number of 455 have been forced into quarantine after failing to follow the government curfew order

The CS also received a number of donations from AMREF and Rockefeller foundation for health workers who are our heroes in management of the pandemic.

The USA has so far confirmed 770, 564 cases out of which 70, 799 people have recovered. The number of deaths stands at 41, 114, which is an additional 2, 056 deaths in the last 24 hours. Spain follows as the second nation with the highest number of deaths. It has so far recorded 23, 660 deaths.

Globally, the number of positive cases is 2, 416, 135. Those that have recovered are 632, 983, while the reported death cases are 165, 939 since the first reported case in Wuhan, China, last year December.
