Kenya confirms 16 more cases of COVID-19 bringing total number to 336

The country has 16 more positive cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases is now at 336. The sixteen cases were from a 946 test conducted in 11 counties. Of the sixteen cases, 11 are from Nairobi, while five are from Mombasa County.

Five more people are reported to have fully recovered and discharged with the last 24 hours. The number of recoveries in the country now stands at 95.

China, where the virus was first reported, has so far recorded 84, 302 cases with 77, 257 recoveries. Also, 4, 642 people have died from the virus.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed cases around the world and stands at 890K. Those who have recovered are 82, 843 while those who have succumbed to the virus are 50, 372, which is an additional 2, 398 in the last 24 hours.

Globally, 2.73 million have tested positive for coronavirus. Some 749K have recovered while at least 192K have died from it since the first reported case in December.
