The first step is to visit the nearest police station and report that your ID is lost. You will then be issued with a police abstract free of charge. This step is important because if a malicious person finds your lost ID and uses it in the wrong way, you will likely be in trouble. So get the police abstract first.
The next step is to visit Huduma Centre and request them to replace your ID. What to have with you is the police abstract and a copy of your ID. You will be issued with a waiting card while they get ready to process your ID. You will also be informed when to go back and pick your new ID.
