French phone giant Avenir Telecom is set to enter the Kenyan market through a partnership move with Nairobi-based Vivus Techno. The listed French phone manufacturer will now task Vivus Techno with the right to market its low-end feature and smartphones.
Head of Sales at Vivus Techno Daniel Kiplimo reveals that as local representatives they get to sell and offer after-sales services for Avenir. This will be for all Energizer mobile phones produced by Avenir Telecom.
“The French-based brand sells low cost 6,000mAh battery smartphones, rugged devices and KaiOS- powered feature phones,” says Mr Kiplimo.
Avenir Telecom looks to lure the Kenyan market with its new range of low-end feature and smartphones. The firm has a wide variety of phones in its production line with Sh1,200 for the feature phones and Sh5,000 for a smartphone. This is plus the power banks and high-end cordless chargers for smartphones.

Kenya, South Africa and Egypt make up the next target markets for Avenir according to Mr Kiplimo.
